Our Work
Over the course of the creation of Students Empowering Students, we have done multiple projects that have created an influence with our mission statement. Check them out below.
Free Tutoring
This was our first step to creating a strong and connected community. Tutoring not only helps out those who are being tutored, but those who wish to be as it can be crucial towards a student striving to do better in school.

Since we started, we have tutored in places such as homeless shelters and libraries, providing students with K-8th Grade tutoring, as well as SAT or any other prep.
SES Committees
To involve more people, we have created many committees that specialize in different things. From tutoring to social, fun events, check out what else we do to create strong, building communities!
Christmas Gifts For Detroit Shelters
We raised 1,500 dollars through donations to buy 50 gifts for homeless children in Detroit. We worked with Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries and People For Humanity on this project to serve hundreds of kids.
Medical workshop, Volunteering, and Guidance
We are connected to several doctors, many of whom graduated from IVY leagues, in our community that help us create medical workshop events for those interested in learning about medicine. We are have direct connections to multiple hospitals, and help students become volunteers at a hospital of their choice.
International Service
Recently, we have created events that help out students worldwide. Through donation of money, technology and clothing, SES wants to help out children outside of the United States.
Inner City Community Garden
We own a garden in Detroit, where we grow several vegetables for underprivileged communities to share together. This is serves as an outlet for community bonding and as a resource for fresh vegetables and fruits.
