SES introduces the Doctors of Tomorrow Healthcare Symposium, where high school and college students alike will be immersed in the wonderful world of healthcare and medicine.
In this event, there will be inspiring talks from renowned healthcare professionals and experts. They will be delivering captivating presentations on topics such as mental health, life as a healthcare professional, and strategies for getting accepted into medical school. These talks will provide valuable insights into the challenges and rewards of a healthcare career, inspiring students to pursue their dreams.
In addition, there will be hands-on workshops! These will provide students to participate in immersive, hands-on experiences that stimulate real-world medical scenarios. These workshops include:
Crash Course on Suturing and Surgical Knot Tying: Students will learn essential suturing techniques and surgical knot tying skills under the guidance of experienced surgeons.
Heart Dissection Lab: A fascinating lab session where students will explore the anatomy of a heart through a guided dissection, gaining a deeper understanding of cardiac structure and function.
CPR and Intubation: Students will learn life-saving techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and endotracheal intubation, helping them develop critical emergency response skills.
Upper Airway Scoping and Anatomy: Students will gain hands-on experience in upper airway scoping, learning about airway anatomy and diagnostic procedures used in respiratory medicine.
Ultrasound: An interactive session where students will have the opportunity to use ultrasound equipment, understand its applications, and learn how it aids medical diagnosis.
We hope that with this symposium, we inspire students to be interested in the world of health and medicine, and propel them towards their future
There will be two ways to register: Hands on and Without Hands On
People without the hands-on registration will be only experiencing the spokespersons
People with the hands-on registration will experience both the spokespersons and the workshops
